OMODA & JAECOO has officially started commercial operations in Peru, marking another important step in the brand’s international growth. The launch introduces four models to the Peruvian market, supported by a direct factory operation, locally focused vehicle testing and a structured after-sales network.
As part of Chery Group, OMODA & JAECOO has expanded rapidly across international markets. The brand has recorded 800,000 vehicle sales in just three years and established a presence in 64 markets worldwide. Its arrival in Peru reflects a wider strategy of adapting its SUV lineup, technology and customer support to the needs of each region.
For customers in Dubai and the wider UAE, the Peru launch also highlights the brand’s growing global reach and its continued focus on intelligent mobility, hybrid technology, advanced safety and long-term ownership confidence.

Vehicles Tested for Peru’s Challenging Road Conditions
Before beginning sales, OMODA & JAECOO carried out altitude and endurance testing in the Peruvian Andes. The purpose was to assess vehicle performance in demanding conditions and adapt the powertrain settings for local roads and routes.
According to Stefan Yang, General Manager of OMODA & JAECOO Peru, the brand studied the market carefully and tested its vehicles in extreme high-altitude environments. He explained that the priority was to deliver reliable vehicles prepared for the varied geography of Peru.
The new operation has been established as a direct subsidiary of Chery Group. This approach provides customers with factory-backed support, immediate access to spare parts and after-sales service aligned with international standards.
The launch is built around three main priorities: efficient hybrid mobility, distinctive design and comprehensive safety. OMODA & JAECOO’s SHS, or Super Hybrid System, combines an electric motor with a combustion engine through intelligent energy management. The system is designed to deliver stronger performance, lower fuel consumption and an extended driving range.
The vehicles also reflect the brand’s Art in Motion design philosophy, with modern exterior lines and technology-focused cabins featuring high-definition displays and digital connectivity. Safety remains another central part of the lineup, supported by high-strength structures and advanced driver assistance systems.

After-Sales Support and Long-Term Growth Plans
OMODA & JAECOO is entering the Peruvian market with a network of established automotive partners selected for their experience and reputation. The network will provide specialist technical support and access to genuine spare parts from the first day of operations.
Customers in Peru will also receive a warranty of seven years or 200,000 kilometres, reinforcing the brand’s focus on long-term ownership confidence.
The company has set ambitious growth targets for the market. Stefan Yang stated that OMODA & JAECOO aims to sell 3,000 vehicles during its first year and reach 10,000 sales within the next five years. The longer-term objective is to become one of the top five automotive brands in Peru.
The four models are already available for test drives through the dealership network in Peru.
A Growing Global Presence
The expansion into Peru forms part of a wider international strategy. By 2025, OMODA & JAECOO had entered 64 markets across Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.
The wider Chery Group also ranked 233rd in the 2025 Fortune Global 500 and maintained its position as China’s leading passenger vehicle exporter for the 23rd consecutive year.
Alongside vehicle development, OMODA & JAECOO has continued exploring intelligent technologies. A robot jointly developed with the AiMOGA team has already entered public-service environments and made an official appearance at the Asian Youth Para Games.
The Peru launch shows how the brand is combining international growth with local adaptation, hybrid innovation, smart technology and stronger customer support. For UAE drivers, it is another sign of OMODA JAECOO’s expanding global presence and its continued investment in modern mobility solutions.
